Full time, Permanent for January 2019 or April 2019 start

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our team. Our GCSE value added and Progress 8 scores are consistently above the national average, and last year the percentage of students achieving a 9-4 grade in English and Maths was 71%.

Permanent post, 30 hours per week, term time plus one week

Working hours - 8.15am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday

Scale E, Actual starting salary: £13,046 per annum

The City of Norwich School – An Ormiston Academy is an exciting, forward thinking Academy with high expectations for all its staff and students. An opportunity has arisen for a committed and conscientious individual who would like to contribute to the success of our school by working as a Cover Supervisor within the Curriculum Support Team.

The successful candidate will provide in-class support to teachers, and supervise whole classes to cover the short term absences of teachers. It is essential that you have cover supervision experience, and that you are able to gain the respect of students and engender positive attitudes to learning.

Training will be provided, and all support staff at CNS are involved in a review and development process. CNS has high aspirations for all its staff and students and provides excellent support, both professionally and personally.

Cover Supervisor Job Description

Specialist Learning Support Assistant

Permanent post, 31 hours per week, term time plus one week

Scale D, Actual starting salary: £12,631 per annum

The City of Norwich School - an Ormiston Academy is an exciting, forward thinking Academy with high expectations for all its staff and students. We are seeking to appoint a Specialist Learning Support Assistant to support individual students within the classroom specifically in KS4, or to work with groups of students with a specific need.

The successful candidate will need to possess a genuine interest in young people and an insight into how they learn. Patience, flexibility and firmness are very important personal traits alongside good literacy/numeracy and ICT skills. The successful candidate should show the ability to use initiative to support students' individual needs and to work as part of a large team. A commitment to, and experience of working with, young people with SEND and emotional/social difficulties is essential. Ideally you will have a specialism in, or be willing to train in one of the following areas: Dyslexia, ADHD or SEMH. As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to discuss in detail one of the three areas.
