In the main school, pupils start in Year 7 at age 11 and finish in Year 11. There are two main curriculum stages. Key Stage 3 includes Years 7,8 and 9 and Key Stage 4 includes Years 10 and 11.
We encourage all our students to consider their choices very carefully in light of their ambitions and future plans.
Personal, social, health and economic education (PSHEE) is taught through the guidance programme, in tutor times and tutorial.
Starting in 2017 with English and Maths, the new grading system for GCSEs is graded from 9-1, with 9 being the top grade. By 2019, most subjects will receive the numerical grading system. More information here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-gcse-9-to-1-grades-coming-soon
