German Christmas Market
The Modern Foreign Language (MFL) department organised a German Christmas Market stall this week to raise funds for one of the school’s charities; Save the Children. We were inspired by our recent school trip for Year 9s to the Christmas Markets in Cologne, which the students thoroughly enjoyed.
Our version of the German market was a huge success with students choosing from all manner of sweet treats such as Lebkuchen, Stollen and Spekulatius biscuits! Our Year 13 MFL students helped to decorate the stall, and special thanks to Emily Chambers – our Student Ambassador – who gave up her lunch break to man the stall!
We raised £26.20 and hope to do an even bigger one next year!!
