Headteacher's Message, Friday 14th June 2019

Today we said farewell to Year 11 in their Leavers Assembly. It is a moment of reflection and celebration as we remember all their wonderful achievements, as well as the joy they have brought to the school and each other. The Class of 2019 have been a pleasure and teachers have been very sorry to see them go. The vast majority will be returning to Sixth Form and we look forward to welcoming them to Induction Day on June 27th; for those moving on from CNS, I wish them well. I would like to thank parents and carers of Year 11 for your continued support for CNS and for working with us to ensure the best possible opportunities and outcomes for your children.

At this time of year school uniform can start to wear out or become too small. However, students need to be in correct uniform until the end of term which is still 5 ½ weeks away; thank you for supporting this. The uniform policy for 2019 is on the website and the only change is the clarification of skirts being knee length and trousers full length. The addition of shorts is proving very popular and these are available from Stevensons and can be worn between Easter and October half term.

I am looking forward to getting outside this weekend after a wet week indoors. I hope you have a good weekend and enjoy whatever you are doing.
