Headteacher's Message, Friday 7th December 2018

It has been a wonderful week of celebration and excellence. For those of you lucky enough to attend the Winter Concert you were treated to an evening of fine musicianship led by CNS and peripatetic music teachers. Our music department is simply stunning and there was a feeling of pride in the auditorium as teachers, parents, grandparents and carers were able to share their children’s achievements.  Well done to everyone involved and huge thanks to the music department.

The Brass Ensemble and Sax Group were performing again last night at the Year 11 Awards Evening. The Class of 2018 returned to CNS to receive their GCSE certificates, subject prizes and special awards. Alumni presented their own awards including my father- in law John Philpott.  Paul Kett from the Class of 1996 spoke eloquently of how CNS has provided a curiosity about the world, risk taking and lasting friendships.  Thank you to Ms Nichols for organising the event.

Year 11 have successfully completed their mocks while other years have had a range of trips and visits to complement their lessons; December is a busy month!

I am looking forward to another weekend of Christmas festivity and hope you have a good weekend and enjoy whatever you have planned.
