City of Norwich School

Headteacher's Message, Friday 7th June 2019

It was wonderful to welcome the parents of next year’s Year 7 to CNS last night for an information evening. In addition, I have been visiting Year 6 students in their primary schools this week and it is always a pleasure to visit our feeder schools and see the fantastic work they are doing. It seems incredible that we are already at the point of transition with all year groups beginning to excitedly and nervously look to their next stage.

I would like to wish success to the Greenpower team who will be competing at the Hethel test track this weekend in the inaugural Norfolk heat, where they will be racing the electric race car they have built themselves. This has been a wonderful example of collaborative working between students, staff, parents, the CNSA and an external trust; thank you to Ms Kahn for her work in making it happen.

With many trips and visits taking place, it is a busy time for administrative colleagues as well as teaching staff. Registers become even more critical when we have students off site and to ensure all our students are safe please keep us informed if your child is absent by calling the relevant year group absence line before 8.30 am.

I hope you have a good weekend and enjoy whatever you are doing.
