RAF Youth Engage Winners!

Congratulations to Sophia, Kumi, Isobel, Gracie and Edith who were crowned RAF Youth Engage winners at the Final of the STEM challenge put on by Camouflaged Learning and the RAF last week.

The aim of the event was to encourage students to work on problem solving and to consider engineering as a subject and nearly 1000 girls from across Norfolk had taken part. The CNS team passed the initial stage back in May and were selected to go to RAF Marham for the finals on 5th July.

The day consisted of various team activities which they were then judged on.  One such activity was building a shelter out of limited supplies, to use whilst the RAF judges came and used water guns on them.  They also had to reuse the same materials to make apparatus to pick objects and move them from a distance.

The CNS team were competing with around 19 other schools and as winners were awarded a trophy, £90 each and a VIP tour of the airbase.

"The girls performed fantastically throughout the day.  I am hugely proud of the girls and their efforts.  Well done Team CNS!Ms Kahn, Teacher of Creative Technologies
