Theatre: live and kicking?
Earlier this year a group of Year 12 and Year 13 students attended a lecture at the Garage in Norwich. The lecture entitled 'Theatre: live and kicking?' was an exploration of theatre’s relationship with film and how the advances in film have changed the style and purpose of theatre in contemporary Britain.
Year 12 student Isabel Joseph said:
I really enjoyed how the lecturer, Chris Smith, made it interactive by bringing us on stage and asking us to vote on the different ideas of what makes ‘live theatre’ to make us really consider how film has influenced theatre of today
We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to explore what theatre has and does mean in the performance landscape in Britain.
