What is the CNSA?

We would like to take this opportunity to tell you about the City of Norwich School Association or CNSA. We are equivalent to a PTA or Parents Association. By being a current parent/carer, staff member or governor of CNS you are automatically a voting member of the CNSA. All you need do is come to the meetings.

What do we do?

We do what any PTA or Friends of any school would do. We organise events throughout the year. Some, as fundraisers for the extras not provided by regular government funding, others, as gatherings and educational meetings to discuss school and child related matters. These events also create vital links between the school, parent/carers and the community. Events include; Pet Show, Quiz & Chips, Car Boot and Jumble, Fete, Garage Sale plus helping out at events run by school and working together with other schools.

What can you do?

The CNSA meets throughout the year planning future events. We are inviting you to come along and share your ideas and help with this worthwhile cause, and help us make a difference to your child’s school life.

What’s in it for you?

It’s a big step when your child goes to high school. You start to lose contact with their school life. Joining the CNSA provides you with an important link to school. It also gives you the opportunity to meet other parents, feel more involved, find out what’s been happening and how the money raised has been spent. It’s also your chance to say what you think and give us your ideas.

Who can you contact?

Jo Thompson, CNSA Chair on telephone 01603 632416 or office@cns-school.org.

What do you do next?

Look in the Echo (the weekly school newsletter) for information about dates and events. You may have to ask your child every week to pull it from their bag. An easier way is to log on to the school web site and get your Echo direct to your computer on www.cns-school.org The Echo is a vital link with school. There is no other efficient way to reach so many people!
