Covid Heroes stamp design competition

Congratulations to ten of our students whose stamp designs have been selected to be entered into a national competition being run by Royal Mail.

The competition invited students in years 7, 8 & 9 to design stamps to honour the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic, and our students submitted an amazing 372 designs!  Ms Philpott had the difficult task of selecting the winning entries in each year group.  The ten students have all been awarded a £10 Amazon voucher each.

Their designs will now be entered into the national competition where eight will be chosen to be part of a set of postage stamps that will be used on thousands of letters and packages. The winning designs will be approved by Her Majesty The Queen before they are printed and issued.  A further 120 prizes will be available for area winners and runners-up, as well as cash prizes for the winning schools.

Well done to everyone who took part and good luck to our ten students whose entries have now gone through to the final stage!
