City of Norwich School

Headteacher's Message, Friday 16th July 2021

Thank you for so many positive messages this year as well as your feedback on how we could be even better. It has been a very challenging year for all members of the school community and I am grateful for the support we have received. I could not be prouder of what has been achieved at CNS this year and I am continually in awe of the resilience, adaptability and determination shown by students and staff throughout the year.

School closure has been one of the most challenging things I have dealt with as a school leader. However, it has made me appreciate how much I value the importance of school as a community for young people to be together, to learn, to grow, to be happy and to become interesting and adventurous young adults.

I will be writing to you early next week with detailed information about the start of term; thank you for your patience. Due to the requirement to Covid test and to support transition, we will have a staggered return of year groups from 6th September, with all students back in school by September 8th.

I hope you all have a well-deserved wonderful summer break and keep safe and well throughout the holiday.
