Headteacher's Message, Friday 30th April 2021
Life at CNS this term has felt more ‘normal’ than in a very long time. Restrictions on the field have been lifted, co-curricular clubs are increasing in number and trips and visits are being planned again. We approach this, along with our wider plans for the reduction of restrictions, with a happy cautious optimism.
One of the best parts of my job is being able to meet with the head students, all of whom do a fantastic job keeping me in touch with student opinion, concerns and ideas. I have found since the end of lockdown several Year 11 students have asked to meet with me to share their thoughts on how CNS can be even better for future year groups. This is a wonderful reflection of the connection our students have with the school community and how much they care for the experience of the younger year groups. The tenure of the current Head Students will soon be coming to a close and I will be asking Year 12 students to apply for the Head Student posts for 2021-22. I am really excited to see the quality of applications and work with the next groups of Student Leaders. We also have three students from Year 8, 11 and 13 brilliantly representing CNS at a wider OAT student forum.
Don’t forget to cast your vote for the renaming of the new sixth form building.
I wish everyone an enjoyable, safe and happy bank holiday weekend.
