City of Norwich School

New and leaving staff

The end of this school year has been like no other we have experienced and there have been many occasions and events that would have taken place over this summer term that have had to be recognised in a different way.  One of these is the goodbyes of those staff who are moving on to pastures new.

It is always sad to have to say goodbye to friends and colleagues, but even more so in this current situation when normal farewell events cannot take place.  Colleagues who are leaving the CNS community at the end of this term and who we must therefore say fond farewells to are Frances Anderson; Elaine Barker; Louise Garner; Tom Hanrahan; Iain Morrison; Linda Nnene; Sarah Peach; Louse Ryan; Katie Selwood and Dan Tooke. All are moving to exciting new opportunities with many having achieved promotions elsewhere, so congratulations to them.  We wish them all the very best in their next ventures.

I can't quite believe that after 15 years at CNS, I am leaving and what a time to change job (in the middle of global pandemic!). Thank you to all the wonderful students and staff, I have made so many great memories at CNS and it will always have a special place in my heart. Keep safe and keep making music” Katie Selwood

Always have a can do spirit. It leads us to a greater tomorrow but also be a person of integrity as it empowers and liberates all” Linda Nnene

I feel privileged and proud to have taught in the Science department for five years and been part of Blakeney house for the last three. CNS students have taught me so much about teaching, life and myself and I have especially enjoyed watching them make the most of incredible opportunities, from musicals to surfing to sailing to Duke of Edinburgh. They, and the staff, are so lucky to be part of a school where this is valued so highly. I am moving on to a Head of Department role which will be a new challenge, but I will miss CNS hugely” Frances Anderson

And so, as this year ends, our focus begins to turn to the new school year and with it the new staff who will be joining the CNS community in September.  We therefore extend a very warm welcome to the following new colleagues:

It is exciting to be welcoming so many new colleagues to our growing team of wonderful teaching and support staff.”
