GCSE Preferences Evening
Thursday 15th March from 6.00pm until 8.00pm.
The next few weeks are a critical time in the lives of Year 9 students, as they make important decisions regarding the choice of subjects they wish to study in Key Stage 4. Students will have had various input from their Form Tutors and House Leaders over the year and this should have initiated the thought process in their minds.
The purpose of the evening is to give students and parents the opportunity to hear an overview of the decisions they have to take, including the time scales they have to make these decisions.
There will be two opportunities on the night to hear a short presentation aimed at explaining the different Key Stage 4 pathways and options available at CNS. These presentations will be held at 6.00pm and 6.45pm in the Arc Auditorium.
Please attend one of these presentations and be mindful that the Arc cannot accommodate all parents and students in one session.
In addition, representatives from all subjects will be available in the Sports Hall throughout the evening. This will provide the opportunity to speak with staff from the different GCSE subjects and external providers to help students make informed decisions.
The Courses booklet and the GCSE Course Preference forms will also be given out.
