Performance

CNS became an Ormiston Academy in 2014.

Following our inspection in December 2021, we are proud to announce that we continue to be a good school. You can read the report here.

The inspectors met many staff, students, as well as governors and the Ormiston Regional Director. They observed lessons, social time and checked policies and processes.

They praised City of Norwich School for making students feel happy, safe and included. The strengths of the school include a vigilant and transparent culture of safeguarding and a well-designed curriculum with strong teacher subject knowledge resulting in students understanding and enjoying what they are learning.  The school was also praised for how well students behave, how effectively we meet the needs of all our students and are ambitious in equipping all students with the skills they need to succeed in life. Parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about their children’s experience at the school.

We acknowledge identified areas for development and will seek to address these through our continual drive for school improvement.

KS4 results linked to both progress and attainment at CNS are above national averages. We are incredibly proud of our students and the work that they have put in to achieve these fantastic set of results.
