CNS makes the Top 20!
CNS is among the best in East Anglia according to the latest Sunday Times Parent Power Tables.
Parent Power, now in its 26th year, identifies the 2,000 highest-achieving schools in the UK, ranked by their recent examination results. This year has provided the first opportunity to examine the results from the new examinations that are graded from 9 down to 1, replacing the old grading system of A* to G.
The ranking is based on the 2018 examination results for A*-B grades at A-Level and A*/A/9/8/7 for GCSEs. At CNS, over half (51%) of students gained the higher Grade 5 or better in GCSE English and maths, and an amazing 30 students achieved a Grade 9 or above in two or more of their subjects. And with A Level entries, 19% of students achieved A* or A grades, an increase on last year’s figure, with 16 students achieving 3 or more A*/A grades.
Jo Philpott, Headteacher at CNS said “This is excellent news and justly deserved praise and reward for all the hard work of students and staff. The whole CNS community is very proud of its achievements and demonstrating 'Excellence in All’“.
