Headteacher's Message, Friday 3rd February 2023
Each year Ormiston Academy Trust (OAT) has its Annual Awards celebrating staff and students across the academies. Over 150 nominations were made from 32 schools across the OAT family. All entries were judged robustly and fairly using the criteria outlined per category and CNS was awarded 3 ‘Golden Ticket’ winners from all 25 awards; we are absolutely delighted that the individual success of Ms Pentney, Joshua Richmond and Theo Sanders has been recognised in this way.
CNS joined OAT in 2014 when it was a much smaller trust. Over the years Ormiston has grown to be one of the biggest multi-academy trusts in the country and we benefit from the support, guidance and resourcing that a big trust can bring. Despite growth, the mission of ‘achieving more together’ that first drew Jim Nixon and Paul Fisher (former Headteacher and late Chair of Governors) to OAT has not changed. Their values also resonate with the CNS ethos, and I am proud that CNS is part of the OAT family.
OAT values:
- Anyone can excel: unwavering belief that everyone can achieve
- Enjoy the challenge: perseverance pays dividends
- Share what is best: we achieve more from working together
- Be inclusive: celebrating our diversity and practising equality
I am looking forward to celebrating my mum’s 80th birthday this weekend with my family. I hope you have a lovely weekend too.
