OAT MFL Spelling Bee Competition

A huge well done to our Year 7 students, Myla and Eliana, who competed in the regional finals of this exciting event last Thursday, hosted here at CNS. There were around 30 students competing from across the Eastern and Southern OAT regions, and it was a nail-biting final!

The students had to spell up to around 6o words in their chosen language and the spelling had to be phonetically correct, including accents and punctuation – all produced in the target language. The participants had already worked extremely hard learning to spell 100 words to qualify for this exciting event, and we all agreed that their tenacity and skill on the day was outstanding.

We could not have been prouder of Myla and Eliana and we are delighted to announce that Myla has made it through to the national finals to be held in Birmingham in March.

Congratulations to Myla - we wish her the best of luck in the finals!
